Program note:
The Art of Growing, a piece which is written originally for young Saxophonists shows different techniques which are a bit advanced for young players. The piece starts with a technique which grows gradually, till it arrives at a level of complexity, a moment where the players become angry to stop such technique and to go to another place. A process which being repeated several times with different techniques till the end of the piece, combined with another global process throughout the whole piece.

El Ansary's composition, Love the sounds, which sounds, as it sounds, is an abstract exploration of oud and classical guitar timbres. The formal design is based on "Lamma bada yatathanna", a classical Andalusian muwashshah and cornerstone of Arab music performance tradition for centuries.
